This position is responsible for resolving requests and questions received over the telephone and in person.


Thursday & Friday 3:30pm-8:00pm and E/O Weekend 11:00am-4:00pm

(Able to pick up additional hours)


  •  Receive incoming phone calls and learn the nature of the call. Resolve the phone call whenever possible, or transfer to appropriate individual,
  • Screen calls to the Administrative office and resolve the call or answer questions if possible.
  • Welcome guests and residents who approach the Reception Desk and provide assistance as appropriate.
  • Greet those arriving for appointments and tours:
    1. Offer coffee or other beverage
    2. Offer to hang coats
    3. Notify the person who scheduled the tour.
  • Clear counters - no clutter, brochures or magazines
  • Keep the reception area, including the desk, neat and tidy at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as directed by the supervisor.
  • Place confirmation phone calls and respond to e-mail inquiries.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service with the intent of providing residents, future residents and visitors with a "delightful" experience.
  • Light typing.
  • Sort incoming mail, distribute and place in appropriate mailboxes. Forward mail as needed.
  • Demonstrate strong team orientation by actively participating, supporting and seeking support as appropriate within the context of the team and the larger GSC team.
  • Supports the weekend manager on duty.


  • Good telephone communication skills.
  • Ability to make contact with local service providers and establish working relationships.
  • Computer proficiency is essential.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
