  • Overview

    Do you have experience with grounds keeping, horticulture and developing innovative indoor/outdoor landscaping? Garden Spot Village is looking for a Director of Campus Services to lead a highly skilled and qualified team, in keeping our grounds in pristine condition. The ideal candidate would have experience in horticulture, landscaping, road and parking lot maintenance and a passion for leading people.


    • Works with the Chief Operating Officer, outside specialists, and contractors to establish a plan of activities for the development and maintenance of the campus.
    • Responsible for the preparation of budgets for equipment, personnel, and other needs.
    • Supervise seeding and fertilizing operations as required; determine grass-mowing priorities and schedule the pruning and removal of shrubbery and trees as necessary.
    • Oversees the campus landscaping and hardscaping plan, and guides consistent design features to maintain the desired aesthetics.
    • Supervision of staff to ensure safety, efficiency, and productivity of the overall operation of grounds keeping.
    • Responsible for exterior signage (organize and/or placing) as well as overall way finding strategy and aesthetic.
    • Maintain communication with residents regarding all exterior maintenance, repair and aesthetics as needed.
    • Oversees maintenance of travelable surfaces, (paving, sidewalks, including curb and parking lot accessories).
    • Responsible to plan and execute general campus waste management and recycling, including collection and disposal.
    • Oversees the snow removal plan and its implementation.


    • A state applicators license is preferred.
    • 5 years of grounds management and/or landscape design/build experience preferred.
    • Bachelor’s degree in landscape design, landscape contracting, horticulture or grounds management is preferred.
    • Must have the ability to supervise and mentor others effectively.
